pohotakawa         Sea Hills Branches	Magestic forest,Fern, Turquoise,Navy Bumpy,Curved Nudey,Plain.	Standing Fading Spreading    Sway,Falling	Still Slowly Around places fast

The big Pohotakawa tree stand’s still like a lamppost,

The Turquoise river fades slowly into the navy blue sea,

The Bumpy Hills spread around the bay

The Plain branches fall fast and breaking like bullets flying past.

My Poetry

Last week my class has been given a picture  to each person and each person has been writing about their picture and made it in to a poetry and this is mine .So what everyone had to do was to write down some nouns that you can see in the picture then you have to you have to describe the noun,after that we had to describe what is it doing in the picture than we wrote how was it doing what you wrote in the before this then if you wanted to you could do an ending bit for the end of your writing.Next time I do Poems I'd think I would write something like this because it makes look easier and faster.

Lupine with green tips standing still bravely,

Bushes with its beige colour swaying in the wind,

Rocks and its old cover tumbling down slowly like a couple of rocks

tumbling down a high mountain and ending up in the middle of

nowhere,

The mountains blackish,dull colours waiting still,for

The misty white colour gliding fast to travel to the other side,

My Holiday reunion

Finally we were their at the family reunion,other family members were their to but the person that hosted it was just a friend of my mum.

When we were their some of the men went to the back yard for some reason,but everybody had to come to the front because all of the parents had to stand up and introduce their family,if they had any siblings they would introduce them as well.But before that happened all of the kids had to sit down and listen(then this happened)I was sitting down and was listening to the speaker and this bee came over and sat on my pants,when the bee was sitting down on my pants its was sitting on its bottom which means it was sitting on its stinger.When I felt that sting I quickly ran to my Mum because that was my second bee sting in my life,then it was cooling down when my Mum started to rub it but still kind of sore.

Yay!

I shouted,we finally got to eat everyone was starving so they got out the food and started to give it out to everybody their was ribs,

mini pies that were flavored mince and cheese their were Tongan donuts and pretty much everything was Tongan food and all of the food was half way finished.After a couple minutes we were ready for dessert,when everyone little kid heard that they ran to the kitchen one by one and then before someone even got there I got there before everyone else ,when I had my Ice cream I quickly ran to sit next to my mum and I got the seat but then my Aunty who was sitting on a couch that was outside asked me “Can you please get some Chocolate Ice cream” and then my Mum looked at me and said “Me too please” So I got my Mums one first then someone else kindly got her some.

After all that food everyone started packing up and taking some food,sadly we were not allowed to take our Ice creams that we gave them back.Then for some reason when I was speeding to the other side of the road I accidentally tripped on the rocky,pavement road.

The story about my Jandal .

Last term Room 2 decided to do some art because we haven't done art in a long time so our teacher gave us an idea to do a jandal about us .So J decided to make some parts of the jandal to be about my culture and my culture is tongan but I don't really speak tongan ,then at the bottom of my left jandal there is a netball because I really enjoy netball especially on the weekends because my Dad gets to watch me play and cheer me on.Then on the top of my right jandal there is a microphone and it has a different background colour and the reason why  I did that colour is because i like to sing alone .

My Life

My name is Leilani. I have two brothers and I had two sisters but one of them was adopted. my parents are originally from Tonga but only me and my siblings can only speak a little tongan sometimes. I'm currently 10 years old and I'm going to be turning 11 next year. I go to Awapuni School. I was born in Middlemore Hospital in Auckland. I'm in room to but my classroom is getting renovated so we call my classroom room 2 / 12.  my friends  at awapuni school are  Harata, Alaynah,Amity, Sharelle, journey, kaali, Jemima,Veer, and  Te Ohomauri . Before I moved to awapuni school I was currently at Riverdale School.The sport I love to play is netball.

My goal for the year is to know all my fractions ,divisions ,timetables, measurements ,statics and everything in maths and writing. The only things I'm good at is reading and drawing. I enjoy doing reading and writing math. something that challenges me is it and writing I always forget to do paragraphs and sometimes it doesn't make sense when I read it again. 

I'm really looking forward to this year because I just started this year and I'm really looking forward that I will know new things now because I just started this year and I will know things off by hard.The person that inspired me is Jemima Because she's always cheers me up and she's always saying that “I can do it “ even if I don’t want to do it.The thing that I have achieved is my art because it has achieved a lot from Awapuni School since i just moved from my old school a year ago.
